NEERAJ DHINGRA
Neeraj is a hardcore entrepreneur & is running an export house of wooden furniture since 1993. He started his business venture along with his wife Meenakshi soon after he completed his MBA. He now caters to some of the most prestigious brands globally and is rated as one of the top exporters in the country.
Along with being a great businessman, Neeraj is also a great father. Whether it was a competition for his son, Tejas or a doctor’s appointment for his daughter, Tanisa , Neeraj always made sure that he was there. He too took a year off from his work to be with Tanisa,all along her medical treatment in the USA.
Now days, he commits to be fully devoted to celebrate Tanisa’s life through this foundation and volunteer himself to help the cancer patients.
MEENAKSHI DHINGRA
Post her MBA, Meenakshi along with her Husband, started one of the greatest export houses in India. Focus, persistence and perseverance made Meenakshi and integral part of the business.
Apart from being a self-made businesswoman, Meenakshi always believed in giving back to the society and to the people. She has been regularly volunteering for several cancer events and regularly counsels cancer patients across the country with a heart that understands their pain and journey. She is also an active and key member of the Indian Cancer Society.
Meenakshi too took an off from work, to support her beautiful daughter Tanisa , during her medical care in the USA.
Meenakshi has now promised to help cancer patients in need in the best way she can.
ROHAN SEHGAL
Rohan, an engineer by profession, graduated in 2015 and has been working at Google since 2016. He is a compassionate human who not only supported Tanisa’s every endeavour for well being initiatives for cancer patients but also holding fundraising events with animal welfare NGOs. He takes care of 5 street dogs himself.
Rohan is also an athlete, playing football at nationals, and regularly going for his Sunday runs.
Tanisa and Rohan have known each other since 2011, since when Tanisa has always acted as a voice of reason for him. Tanisa and Rohan have been partners in crime in all aspects of life, always supporting each other professionally and personally.
Rohan will now be dedicating a part of his life to taking forward Tanisa’s legacy and spreading the happiness that she always spread.
TEJAS DHINGRA
Following his sister- Tanisa’s footsteps, Tejas too joined Google in 2020 right after graduating from Delhi University.
Apart from being a great employee at Google, Tejas is also is an International Show Jumper from India and a is force to be reckoned with in the Equestrian world. He is one of the top show jumpers in the country and has represented India at various national and international competitions.
The bond that Tanisa and Tejas shared with each other is something that cannot be put into words. Tanisa was more like a best friend to Tejas and she played a major role in making Tejas what he is today. He always looked up to her for guidance.
To carry on the learning’s imparted by Tanisa, Tejas is now fully dedicated towards helping the entire cancer community and spreading the happiness that Tanisa used to spread to him and everyone around her.
PRAGYA BHARGAVA
Pragya is visual artist, researcher and educator. She graduated with a BFA from Lasalle College of the Arts, BSc Physics from IGNOU and MRes Fine Art and Humanities from Royal College of Art, London. She has exhibited her work internationally in the UK, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia and India. She was awarded the Artreach- Kiran Nadar Museum of Art Teaching Fellowship (2020-2021), Winston Oh Travel Practice Award (2013) Lasalle College of the Arts Scholarship (2012-2014), Karamveer Puraskar- National Award for Social Justice and Citizen Action.
Pragya and Tanisa knew each other since they were 8 years old. As a way of remembering and celebrating her childhood friend, Pragya volunteers her time and skills to continue the work her friend started.
JAGRUTI DAS
Jagruti Das is the Operations Lead at Tanisa Foundation. She is also pursuing her BA in Economics and Political Science at Maitreyi College, Delhi University.
Jagruti’s journey in social welfare began right after grade 10 when she started volunteering with various non-profit organisations. She has always been taught to be kind and compassionate and has a deep-seated commitment to helping those in need. Her volunteering experience includes significant contributions to the Robin Hood Army and Youth For Seva, where she was honoured with the Star Volunteer of the Year award.
At Tanisa Foundation Jagruti is following her passion for social welfare, helping as many people as possible and striving to make the world a better place. The smiles she brings to cancer patients and the joy they experience mean a great deal to her, and she is dedicated to continuing her efforts to support the cancer community.
SHEENA ARORA GULATI
Sheena Arora is a California-based digital marketing expert with a decade of success driving growth for small and medium-sized businesses.
Inspired by the life of her dear friend, Tanisa, Sheena is deeply committed to honouring her memory through her work with the Tanisa Foundation. Tanisa's courage, kindness, and unwavering support for others left an enduring impact on Sheena.
As the foundation's LinkedIn lead, Sheena leverages her B2B and digital marketing expertise to increase awareness and maximise the organisation's impact.
ADVISORS
DR. KANCHAN KAUR
Dr Kanchan Kaur has trained at breast specialist centres in London, New York and Paris. She has been involved in setting up the Breast Services Institute at Medanta, which is one of its kind in India. The entire spectrum of breast disease management including benign and cancerous lumps is carried as per international established protocols. She is a regular contributor to the website emedicine.com and has been a tutor for surgical courses conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of London. She is extensively involved in awareness campaigns on breast cancer.
DR. DIVYA CHOUDHARY
Dr. Divya has a Ph.D in nutrition. (Delhi University) Degree awarded by former president of India Late Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Ms.C (Foods & Nutrition), Delhi University. She is currently working as the Chief Dietician at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer institute & Research Centre, New Delhi.
She is a recipient of Outstanding Performer of the year(2019), RGCI and Excellence in Medical Nutrition Therapy (2020), IAPEN. She has vast experience in the healthcare industry and has also worked with Max and Fortis hospitals.
She is the principal nutrition advisor to Tanisa Foundation.
MRS INDRA JASUJA
Mrs. Indra Jasuja is M.A. in Psychology and holds Diploma in Medical and Social psychology from NIMHANS, Bangalore.
Mrs. Indra Jasuja is a breast cancer survivor. Has been the Vice President of the Breast Cancer Unit, & the President of Cancer Sahyog. She is a clinical psychologist who has worked with psychatiatic patients & drug addicts.
She has been giving emotional support to cancer patients and their families for the last 23 years in the hospitals she visits, she holds the position of Hony. Jt Sec, Indian Cancer Society, Gurgaon.
DR. TEJINDER KATARIA
Dr. Tejinder Kataria founded the Department of Radiation Oncology at both Artemis Heart Institute and the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and setting up Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta – The Medicity. She introduced India’s first Infinity Linear Accelerator with Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) and North India’s first Integrated Brachytherapy Unit. She has also introduced the latest evolutions in stereotactic radiation treatment to Medanta such as whole body stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and 3-D Conformal Radiation (3D CRT).
DR. INDU AGARWAL
Dr. Indu Agarwal is the Head of Department for Preventive Oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute.
She did her graduation and post-graduation from Lady Hardinge Medical College (Delhi). She completed her PGDHHM from IGNOU University. After working in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology for 21 Years she joined RGCI & RC in 2011 in the department of preventive oncology.
Since then has gained vast experience in working with the community to spread awareness about cancer protection & early detection screening for common female cancers.
MR. KRISHAN KALRA
An engineer by training Mr Kalra worked in the corporate world for 38 years, followed by 7 years as additional secretary general of FICCI and 3 as secretary general of the PHD chamber.
He is an ex-president of All India Management Association and Delhi Management Association. He has also served on the board of Governors of IIM Kolkata for 5 years and as a member of the PHD chamber managing committee for 10 years.
He is a prolific writer and public speaker.
Mr Kalra now does voluntary work in the areas of skill development, health care, environment conservation, urban development and empowerment of visually impaired persons.
DR. A K DEWAN
Dr. A. K. Dewan is one of the leading Oncologists and Director Surgical Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & RC. He has been a Cancer Surgeon for over 37 years. He gained experience in institutes such as Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi.
His areas of interest include Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and Breast Cancer Surgery. On an average, he conducts 100 major and 150 minor cancer surgeries every month and has been involved in over 18,000 surgeries in the course of his career.
His motto is "To treat my patient as I would want myself to be treated and care with passion". He is technology savvy with an endeavour to provide highest standard of quality care.
